Alumni


The importance of an alumni association: "it's a desire for a sense of connection." In fact, that's exactly what it is. It's a way for alumni to not only stay connected, but to network, share ideas, and get your name out there.

Purpose

The purpose of the alumni association is to develop stronger relationships between friends and former course participants, and to support and promote the goals, activities and interests of the AIPM. The alumni association provides the vehicle to stimulate this support and to keep the public safety and emergency services community, alumni and friends of the AIPM, aware and involved.

Benefits of Alumni Membership

  • Networking - It gives you the chance to discuss ideas you may be having on how to approach a new challenge at work and you can share your successes with your old friends.
  • Find-A-Friend - Lost track of a colleague? The Alumni Association maintains up-to-date addresses for hundreds of AIPM graduates. We are always happy to forward members’ correspondence to “lost” friends or classmates.
  • Mentoring and Career Services - Exchange information about your career area anonymously with current course participants and younger alums, or get help for making your own career change.
  • Alumni members contacts database - A dynamic online database, containing contact information and news of all Alumni members.
  • Alumni newsletter online – check out the latest newsletter from the Alumni Association.
  • Use of the Library and borrowing privileges - Alumni may use the AIPM Library as a place for reading, writing and research. Feel free to come in and browse the collections on-site, or online.
  • Online Services - Value added online resources – specially selected resources that may be of particular interest to Alumni members.


What you can expect from your Membership

Alumni Association will enable us to communicate regularly with all our former course participants, and through the Association, you, in turn, will be able to communicate not only with the Institute itself, but also with your fellow alumni. We are confident that the Alumni Association will provide an effective forum for the sharing of knowledge and experience, and for the exchange of information. Please do join the Association.

We will share experiences and ideas in management among the members and inform them of new developments in management practices.
