Hong Kong Police Visit

Chief Superintendent Bernie So, the Head of the Hong Kong Police Professional Development Learning Centre, visited the AIPM on Monday 6 June 2005, as part of a visit to establish contact with some Australian police training establishments.

Following a briefing session and a tour of the AIPM site, Chief Superintendent So was delivered to Australian Graduate School of Policing staff for the continuation of his travels, which will also include visits to the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn, and AFP College at Barton in the ACT.

Malaysian Commission Visit

The Inspector-General of the Royal Malaysian Police, Tan Sri Mohd Bakri bin Haji Omar, (4th from left) accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (far left) and Kieran Miller, the Australian Federal Police Liaison Officer for Kuala Lumpur, (3rd from right) visited the AIPM on Friday 11 March.

The delegation enjoyed afternoon tea with, from left, Lieutenant Colonel Graeme Sligo (Australian Army), Dr Jim Hann, Superintendent Stephen Pierce (Victoria Police), Associate Professor Tracey Green (AGSP) and Mr Tom Rogers. Then, following a tour of the AIPM site, Dr Hann, Mr Rogers, Lieutenant Colonel Sligo and Superintendent Pierce provided the Inspector-General of Police with a brief on the Institute and its programs.
