Building Redevelopment Project

On 20 March 2009, the then New South Wales (NSW) Minister for Planning, the Hon Kristina Keneally MP signed a notice of determination declaring project approval and authorising the AIPM redevelopment application.

On 9 July 2009, the Federal Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, the Hon Peter Garrett MP granted approval of the NSW Department of Planning assessment report subject to the conditions of the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).

The AFP has complied with all conditions associated with the approvals including the development and adherence to an approved construction programme. A range of management plans during and after construction have been developed including a construction environmental management plan, fauna management plan and operational environmental management plan.

The AIPM is Australasia’s leading provider of executive development programs for Police. The redeveloped site will enhance the AIPM’s ability to deliver education programs.
