Policing already has the technology to predict future crimes and identify future criminals. Paul Bergin explains to Policing Insights publisher Bernard Rix. The idea of a police officer looking around a park of children playing, using facial recognition connected to a database which could identify which child is most at risk of something bad happening to them or going into a life of crime. Paul believes there is enough data to be modeling that today, the real question is how do we do it ethically?
