"The first progress report from the group, released 7 December 2018, highlighted a significant under-representation of women in the fire and emergency services. Currently, women make up just seven per cent of management roles in frontline service delivery and 22 per cent of the sector overall. This is inconsistent with modern workforces, community needs and expectations. To encourage trust, connectedness and involvement, we recognise that our fire and emergency services must be representative of the communities they serve."
