New managers, you can create a workplace that values mental health

Creating a work culture that values mental health involves more than being an “empathetic boss.” To truly support well-being, both new and seasoned managers need to learn how to gracefully adapt to the rapidly changing world of work and analyze the impacts of shift to remote and hybrid work — as well as the economic, social, and geopolitical instabilities, are having on their individual team members. Managers need to get better at listening, shifting, and pushing for their organizations to transform in progressive ways that support the new needs of the workforce. This involves becoming what we refer to as “agents of change.”
