Cynthia Cherrey, President of the International Leadership Association speaks with Douglas Lindsay about the rethinking of military leadership. She states "Military leadership is often at the forefront of new ways of thinking about, and practicing leadership." Douglas Lindsay refers to recent initiatives like the openness to have conversations outside of traditional hierarchical bureaucratic type environment. Cherrey replies that the military is looking at leadership differently in this interconnected world. As we shift into the digital revolution, it has impacted on the military and how they lead. To which Lindsay describes the primary difference for the military is that they grow people from within.
