Last week the AIPM travelled to Jakarta, Indonesia to deliver the Frontline Women’s Leadership Program for Australian Border Force.  Hosted at the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC), the five-day program brought together emerging leaders to build confidence, capability and leadership effectiveness.  Programs like these strengthen offshore inter agency partnership by providing leadership training and building capability across the region.  

The AIPM was proud to once again sponsor the ACWAP Conference in 2026 and celebrate the achievements of women in policing. Highlights included the Commissioners Panel and the Excellence in Policing Awards. 

The Pacific Faculty of Policing along with their Pacific Women in Leadership (PWIL) Program participants also joined us in Darwin for the 2026 ACWAP Conference. PWIL attendees came from 14 countries across the Pacific including Fiji, CNMI, Guam, FSM, Timor-Leste, Samoa, Tonga, Nauru, Kiribati, Tokelau, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, PNG and Tuvalu.

Last month, the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM) delivered the first residential component of its newly redeveloped Executive Development Strategy 2 (EDS2) program, bringing together senior executives from policing and public safety agencies across Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific and Europe.

Designed for executives operating in increasingly complex and interconnected environments, EDS2 reflects the AIPM's commitment to developing leaders who can navigate uncertainty, build public trust, and shape the future of policing, emergency management and public safety.

Working alongside Pacific police jurisdictions, the AIPM designs and delivers leadership programs that strengthen capability within leadership teams to support safer, more resilient communities.

This week, we are in Timor-Leste, working with the Timor-Leste National Police and the Scientific Police & Criminal Investigation unit. With the support of Tetum-speaking translators and local AFP officers, we have been able to bridge language and cultural differences to create meaningful conversations and shared learning.

Balance Refresh

This week we launched the first Balance Program in its refreshed format. The updated program introduces a new immersive learning experience and a plenary-style executive panel, designed to deepen insight and bring real-world perspectives to life.
